FaiTH Factor: Women Treating Mental Health Through Christ and Scripture

Share

Women make up the majority of the workforce in the mental health sector. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, women are 67% of social and community service occupations, which includes mental health workers. The workforce percentages are even higher in the faith-based care sector for women.

Studies also highlight that the number of women-owned mental health businesses has continued to increase year over year. It seems that a woman-owned, faith-based, mental health business would be a no-brainer. Jen Pirraglia is on it.

Setting out on Faith

Jen Pirraglia set out on a transformative journey when she founded FaiTH Factor Wellness. This spiritual undertaking reflects the mother-of-two’s Christ-first commitment to holistic well-being. While focused on the power of the word to transform every aspect of life, her background in fitness was not completely abandoned.

Three fundamental pillars are integrated into the program for success:

1.    Scriptures

2.    Movement

3.    Nutrition

Through FaiTH Factor Wellness, Jen empowers individuals to live by the truth in the scriptures. By nourishing their spiritual and mental well-being, they advance down the path to becoming Complete.

The Power of Scripture

Core to FaiTH Factor is the use of scripture as a fountain of strength, guidance, and inspiration. Jen understands that spirituality should be a fundamental aspect of a person’s identity, and reinvigorating that faith for the sake of wellness can lead to a profound medical metamorphosis.

By including relevant scriptures at the most significant times, clients are encouraged to draw upon their faith as a source of motivation and resilience. These scriptures provide the foundation for cultivating inner peace, purpose, and a connection to a power greater than oneself.

The Physical Fundamentals

Physical health is a fundamental part of overall well-being, and Jen recognizes the importance of incorporating regular movement into the wellness approach. Exercise is known to promote physical fitness but also contributes to mental and emotional health. Clients should begin to honor the bodies with which they’ve been blessed. This faith-based approach to fitness embraces a healthy lifestyle as an essential part of the spiritual journey.

A Nourishing Base

Nutrition is central to sustaining proper health. FaiTH Factor encourages nourishing the body with nutritious foods that support vitality and wellness. Jen provides practical guidance on making healthy food choices that line up with the biblical principles of stewardship and self-care. By incorporating faith-based principles into dietary choices, people begin to view their bodies as temples that are deserving of respect and care.

Promoting Transformation

The ultimate goal of FaiTH Factor is to facilitate personal transformation through Christ. Jen believes that true well-being is found when individuals align their internal selves with their external actions. By nurturing their faith, individuals are empowered to lead fulfilling lives.

As a born-again Christian, Jen serves as a Lighthouse, a testament to what is achievable in an industry where helping people achieve through faith, exercise, and nutrition is still a growing enterprise.

A Holistic Well Being

FaiTH Factor Wellness is more than just a fitness or nutrition program; it’s the definition of holistic. This approach to well-being is about the spirit, mind, and body achieving harmony, a sense of wholeness, and quiet completeness.

FaiTH Factor offers a higher path to a more vibrant, purposeful, and spiritually connected life. Jen’s dedication to the mission reflects her genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those she serves, and it exemplifies her philosophy that true joy is found in each-and-every day.

The integration of Bible scriptures, exercise, and nutrition creates a comprehensive wellness experience that allows individuals to thrive in every aspect of their lives.

That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day. – 2 Timothy 1:12
