Manhattan, NY – Rejuvenating Fertility Center (RFC) has expanded its Do It Yourself (DIY) In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) protocol with more options that allow patients to customize their IVF treatment cycles based on their previous experiences and what their body responds to best.
Based on a large survey of patients, the team at RFC realized that every woman undergoing IVF should have control and autonomy over the treatment and her own body. RFC also concluded that this personalized approach is a key to improving the chances of success and ensuring a positive IVF experience without the patients worrying about medications that they know do not work for them, yet were still prescribed to them.
A lot of patients who have previously been through IVF treatment were asked whether they know if a medication works or does not work for them. The majority said, “Yes, I know what works for me!” Examples of other answers included, “I know that my body does not respond to clomid”; or, “Menopur makes my ovaries shut down and does not work for me”; or, “High dose of injections makes my ovaries shut down”; or, “This type of trigger shot does not work for me”; or, “I previously produced good eggs and embryos when I used this injection”, etc.
Each step of the DIY IVF process has evolved into a more customizable experience due to RFC having access to more treatment options. Each patient receives a consultation, meeting with a doctor who will review her medical history and review any previous results from IVF treatments. This information will help the doctor, along with the patient, determine the best safest course of action for individual needs and ensure that the patient is comfortable with the chosen medications to be used during her IVF stimulation protocol.
